New Collections

Posted by

Our next big announcement comes just days after unveiling our magnificent new office, and happens to be closely linked the our flagship store!

You’ll have seen all our posts containing references to new furniture and lighting pieces but we can finally lift the cloak of mystery to reveal what we’ve been working on for the last 12 months.

We are very proud to reveal that, early next year, we will be launching our two new collections in the UK, at our 1 Sydney Place showroom!

The Maritime Collection is deeply masculine, reflecting the sturdiness and robustness of Italian merchant ships, with marquetry and embellishments of nautical images. Made of dark-stained solid wood, Ebony Macassar with white bone inlay, suede and leather-lined shelves, the collection features gun-metal and bronze ironmongery.

The Verandah Collection features upholstery casing in solid wood, upholstered in parchment, leather or fabric, with feet of cast bronze and hints of ebonised wood that enhance the spirit of colonial plantations. The coffee table, side table, cocktail trolley and console all feature a golden bamboo frame, with either eglomise glass, bevelled glass or marble. The lighting features a stunning lantern that echoes the bamboo motif, with both a floor lamp and a table lamp case from solid brass in a pineapple motif, again drawing on the tropical Verandah legend.

Both collections have been designed to compliment each other perfectly, and as such were combined in our window design in Janet Yonaty’s showroom for LCDQ’s 2017 Legends Festival in Los Angeles.

To celebrate these collections, we’ve created a dedicated Oro Bianco Home website where you can find lots more imagery and information. You can also follow the new Oro Bianco Home Instagram page for stunning shots of our pieces!

It’s A Wrap – Maritime & Verandah Photoshoot Complete

Posted by

We’re delighted to have successfully photographed our two new furniture and lighting collections! We received the pieces of the Maritime and Verandah collections here in London earlier this month, and the first challenge was getting them into the studio – the only drawback of using quality materials is the weight!

Once the pieces were safely into position, the three-day shoot went perfectly, thanks in part to photographer Andreas von Einsiedel and product designer Umberto Aloi.

A dark burgundy was chosen for the backdrop to compliment the rich, dark Rosewood of the Maritime pieces, while we opted for something lighter to highlight the bronze bamboo and eglomise glass of the Verandah collection.

After that, it was a quick chance of scenery; the set received a few coats of brilliant white paint in preparation for product shots requested by the interior design magazines looking to feature our collections.

The photoshoot wrapped up, the pieces still looked immaculate as they were repacked by our logistics company – especially compared to our tired bodies leaving the studio!

This week we’ll give them one final inspection before they leave for the United States, and next time we see them will be in sunny Los Angeles, ready for the LCDQ Festival!

Our trip, as well as our other news, will be covered on our social media platforms: follow us on LinkedIn, Instagram and Pinterest for updates.

The Verandah Collection

In preparation of the launch of our Verandah furniture and lighting collection, we commissioned this magnificent CGI containing all of the pieces. Cast pieces feature bronze bamboo frames with both eglomise and bevelled glass. The upholstery casing is solid wood, upholstered in parchment, leather or fabric, with feet of cast bronze.

We can’t wait to launch this and our Maritime Collection in Los Angeles in May 2017, where they will be presented in Janet Yonaty’s Melrose Avenue showroom as part of the LCDQ: Legends festival.

Both collections are being photographed at our London office this month, so look out for the photoshoot review very soon!
